Our Volleyball Clubs

Same name, different game. Indoor volleyball and beach volleyball have different rules, use different balls, and compete in different environments. Try the two sports for yourself and see if you prefer the gym, the sand, or both!

Indoor Club

Beginner volleyball players thrive in our Rec program, while more more experienced athletes compete on our local and national Club teams. At every level, Club One athletes learn to play until the whistle blows.

Have Questions?

We recommend participating in a One U clinic series and/or the Club One Rec program before trying out for a club team. This allows our coaches to determine whether you have a good foundation of proper skills and technique, and to help you develop in any areas that may be lacking.

Indoor volleyball teams have six players on the court at a time. Our indoor club and Rec teams field 10-12 athletes each to create an optimal practice environment. Beach volleyball teams compete as duos, just two players covering a slightly smaller court.

We recommend playing one to two seasons in our Rec program and/or on your school team before committing to club volleyball. To have success in club, you should love the sport, have a passion for improving your skills, and be ready to compete as part of a team.

We recommend trying both! Experience the difference between practicing in a gym vs. in the sun, playing a position vs. covering the whole court, jumping on hardwood vs. diving on sand. Some athletes have a clear preference for one over the other, but many enjoy training and competing in both sports. In fact, many college coaches (indoor and beach) prefer athletes who have played both sports until age 14 or 15, as it helps develop more well-rounded athletes.

Girls club volleyball season starts in late fall, after the conclusion of school season, with practices and tournaments taking place until early to mid-summer. We offer beach training year-round, and many of our athletes participate in local and national tournaments throughout the year. We offer Rec volleyball programs twice a year, during summer and fall.
